Terms of Service

LemonIQ is an AI-assisted consumer information and document preparation platform. The Service helps consumers:

• Check whether their vehicle may qualify under their state's lemon law statute
• Understand applicable repair thresholds, statutory windows, and consumer rights
• Prepare and send a certified demand letter to their vehicle's manufacturer ($79 flat fee)
• Access an attorney marketplace where participating law firms can review anonymous case profiles

LemonIQ is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.

Use of the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Citrus Engine AI LLC, its employees, or any law firm in the LemonIQ network. The information, case scores, eligibility assessments, and demand letter templates provided through this Service are for informational and document preparation purposes only. They are not legal advice and should not be relied upon as such.

If you have questions about your legal rights or your specific situation, consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.

LemonIQ uses artificial intelligence to assist with defect classification and case screening. By using the Service, you:

• Consent to AI-assisted analysis of your vehicle and case information
• Acknowledge that AI-generated results are probabilistic estimates, not guarantees or legal conclusions
• Understand that AI processing is performed by Anthropic, Inc. (Claude models) subject to Anthropic's terms and privacy policy

The demand letter service prepares and sends — via USPS certified mail — a lemon law demand letter to your vehicle's manufacturer. By purchasing this service, you acknowledge:

• Accuracy is your responsibility. The letter is prepared based solely on the information you submit. Inaccurate or incomplete information may affect the letter's legal effectiveness.
• No refunds after sending. Once the letter is submitted to the postal carrier, the service has been fully performed and no refund will be issued.
• No outcome guarantee. Sending a demand letter does not guarantee any legal result, manufacturer response, settlement, or refund.
• The demand letter is a document preparation service only. We are not representing you or acting as your legal agent.

If your case is eligible and you choose to escalate after the 30-day manufacturer response window expires:

• Your case file is anonymized — name, address, and contact information are stripped — before being listed on the marketplace.
• Law firms in the LemonIQ network may view your anonymized case profile and choose to contact you. LemonIQ does not select, recommend, or refer you to any specific attorney.
• Any engagement between you and a law firm is a separate agreement solely between you and that firm. Citrus Engine AI LLC is not a party to any attorney-client relationship formed through the marketplace.
• Law firm contact through the marketplace does not create an attorney-client relationship with LemonIQ or Citrus Engine AI LLC.

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and truthful information when using the Service. You represent that you are the owner or authorized representative of the vehicle about which you are submitting information, and that the repair history, warranty information, and defect descriptions you provide are accurate to the best of your knowledge.

All content, features, and functionality of LemonIQ — including text, graphics, logos, and software — are owned by Citrus Engine AI LLC and are protected by U.S. and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written consent.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Citrus Engine AI LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, in New York, New York. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding. Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction for matters involving intellectual property or unauthorized use of the Service.

YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION.

We may modify these Terms at any time by posting the updated version on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after the updated effective date constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
